Overview of Position:

The successful Senior Director of Technology is responsible for leading, planning, coordinating and overseeing all activities and direct reports across IT, IS and BI and for providing strategic guidance for innovative IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business goals and operations. S/he will demonstrate leadership including resource allocation, project management, prioritization, systems integration, innovation and data analytics. S/he will work closely with Senior Management across all departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support solutions enabling employee productivity. S/he will also act as a strategic business partner within the organization on all IT, IS and BI related matters. Technically, the Senior Director of Technology has a strong background in Enterprise Data, has been part of large-scale integrations and has a high-level understanding of business processes and ERP Systems/Data.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in a global, matrix organization. S/he will be prAna's primary point of contact for CSC's Global Information System (GIS) leadership organization on all major projects, engagements and integrations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy and Planning
  • Provide vision, leadership and management for the Information Services being delivered, including but not limited to our core systems, internal servers, databases and BI platform.

  • Collaborate with CSC partners to align on common strategic goals including but not limited to large projects and integration.

  • Lead the IS strategic and operational planning to achieve Business goals by fostering collaboration, prioritizing IS initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IS solutions across the organization

  • Develop and maintain an appropriate organizational structure that supports the needs of the business in the ever-changing business environment.

  • Manage, assess and communicate risks and opportunities associated with Business and IS change activities.

  • Identify opportunities and develop business case justification for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IS systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing and development.

  • Develop, track, and manage the IS annual operating and capital budgets.

  1. Systems Integration, Development and Deployment Leadership
  • Coordinate and facilitate consultation with organizational stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new or improved technology implementations.

  • Prioritize and manage projects as they relate to the development and implementation of major business or information systems initiatives. Communicate to team about the same.

  • With strong partnership with CSC team, develop and manage long range systems and data integration plans and projects including proposed mapping of business process, systems and enterprise data.

  1. Operational Leadership
  • Manage, monitor and ensure continuous delivery of uninterrupted quality IS services to the organization.

  • Ensure IS system operation and data management practices adhere to best security practices and all applicable laws and regulations: PCI, SOX, GRDP, etc.

  • Provide high-level guidance and support to internal team on Enterprise Data architecture and best practices.

  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT/IS industry, including current technologies/methodology, security and cost structures. Advise, counsel and educate executives and management on competitive or financial impact of same.

  1. Leadership & People Management
  • Lead and manage IT and IS teams.

  • Hire and develop team members.

  • Actively engage with colleagues across leadership teams within prAna and CSC

  • Prepare and conduct performance assessments and pay reviews.

Required Experience

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering or related technical discipline is required

  • 10 years or more experience in IT and/or IS field required, with minimum of 5 years of successful contributions in a leadership role

  • Budget experience with managing and tracking budgets and expenses

  • Demonstrated excellence and experience managing an information systems department in a medium/large organization

  • Experience with and understanding of strategic and business planning methods, tools and processes

  • Proven experience in IS planning, organization and development

  • Experience managing technical staff and remote location support and integration

  • Demonstrated experience with IS systems and IS management a senior level with a sequence of increasing responsibilities, including managing development teams in large and geographically diverse business settings

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record in leadership of system design and implementation, inclusive of Enterprise Data management, front and back office systems.

  • Must have solid technical skills and experience in MS SQL Server suite (SSIS, SSSAS, SSRS, Power BI) as well as ERP systems (SAP and/or Full Circle is a plus).

  • Knowledge and experience with PCI, SOX Compliance.

  • Understanding of data and personal information security best practices.

This position requires occasional travel to CSC headquarters in Portland, OR.
